Abstract

He would not be able to imagine the unbearable fog resting on Xalapa, more stealthy and humid than other places: people walk fast, the sun and the clouds above them represent a permanent rivalry: a warm cold, a frigid afternoon blooming in the stealthy city, people spiraling backwards and forwards. The fog covering the streets is incredible, hiding the faces of the people stealthily over the city, ignoring the lucidity of the poor sky. There are no stray dogs or cold to bother them; there are fishmongers without fish, commercial plazas parked in front of cars sunk through time; upright, magnetized trees in parks; homeless people covering themselves with the very chink of the cold.
