The right to the city
A contrast between pre-Hispanic Mexico and today

The purpose of this research is to first analyze the right to the city, which has become a human right that has attracted attention in political, environmental, international and academic sectors, and is pursued by social movements and non-governmental organizations.
Later, we will discuss the concept of the city, because we will talk about two amazing Mexican cities: Teotihuacán and Mexico-Tenochtitlan. To expose the relationship that exists between the right to the city in pre-Hispanic times and that of today, since despite the fact that they did not have a normative regulation like ours today, within these large pre-Hispanic cities, a large number of human rights were already protected by their rulers in relation to the right to the city.
