ABSTRACT
This work is the result of reflection on the experience of teaching and learning in the course ”Education in the context of globalization” as well as of the analysis of the representations of teachers studying the Master’s in Education, their concepts in relation to this society in rapid change which leaves little time to think. The first analysis focuses on ”the teacher’s life outside of the classroom”: the burden, anxiousness, insecurity and uncertainty they feel as a result of globalization. Next is a reflection on ”the teacher’s life in the classroom” and the disastrous repercussions of globalization within them. Finally, an alternative is proposed for the professional teacher development: reflection on teaching.
