Abstract

The year of 1976 is a crucial moment in Argentinian history because of the dictatorship established in the country. Claudia Piñeiro, in his novel Un comunista en calzoncillos, turn to his remembrances to narrate the dictatorship from his teenage memories. The book is divided in two sections which overlaps to construct a complete vision of there pressions, acts of violence and silence in which the main character was involved. This paper analyzes the paratexts in relation to the main text and how the father imposes itself as central figure in the novel and in the main character’s life.
