In this paper, based on theories about the importance of playing for the developement of children’s mentality, I make an analysis of the use of games in Laura Alcoba’s La casa de los conejos (2008), a novel whose main character and narrator is a nine-year-old girl. I take a review of the episodes in the novel that are related to children’s play activities. My goal is to show that due to them the voice that narrates the literary work can assimilate a traumatic context, consequence of the Argentinian dictatorship.
