One of the greatest and most significant pedagogues of the last century, Paulo Freire, indicated: “There is no teaching without research, nor research without teaching”, and precisely that is the premise that has inspired us to contribute to the science of our area, by participating in the Psychology Research Contest of Lasallian Institutions. From Four years ago this meeting began, students and teachers have participated enthusiastically with a single purpose in mind: Promote research development scientific, with the purpose of generating knowledge and strengthening the joint work of quality academic innovation. In this issue, there are eight articles winners of the third and fourth edition of said Contest; each of them, selected as the best in their category, whether new, advanced or expert. The topics addressed, are as varied as the areas of our discipline: educational psychology, psychopathology, social psychology, psychology of health and developmental psychology.
