Abstract

Societies are increasingly complex. Their problems demand increasingly complex, fundamental and inclusive solutions. The unilateral affirmation of pointing to the State as solely responsible has been broken for a long time. It is not possible for societies to evolve if each of their members does not, and in the same sense. Thus, civic culture becomes increasingly necessary. Society increasingly requires more responsible, committed and involved citizens with the world around them. People who are capable of assuming their responsibilities towards others and towards the State. Traditionally, Universities have been managers of change. They have had the vision of being ahead of their time and contributing to the construction of fairer, more educated and democratic societies. Essential values ​​on the road to a civic culture. This time has not been the exception, the five articles that are presented show very particular ways of seeing and collaborating towards a sufficient and necessary Mexican civic culture for the times in which we live. Being part of this publication is being part of the desire that, as citizens, those who contribute their pens on the following pages share: to make it clear that the State, democracy and education are key pieces in obtaining a solid civic culture.
