In the last two centuries, the Inquisition has greatly enjoyed the interest of historians, this interest has been revived especially in the last twenty years, both with the opening in the mid-1990s of the secret archive of the Roman Holy Office, which has revealed unexplored documentary sources available to researchers, both due to the impact that this event has produced on the study of the archives of peripheral courts and, last but not least, due to the renewed attention towards Jewish and Muslim minorities. , Orthodox and Protestant in Christian territories, which has thematized religious conversions, contamination between cultures and religious practices, doubt and disbelief. An impressive set of acquisitions on the Roman and Spanish Holy Offices converged in the five volumes of the Dizionario storico dell’Inquisizione, edited by Adriano Prosperi, published by the Scuola Normale of Pisa in 2010, which dedicates the entire fourth volume to the bibliography...
