The development of new technologies and the globalization phenomena have diversified the relationships and characteristics of the media. This revolution has intensified the interaction between audiences and interlocutors, generating new spaces for reflection where phenomena such as post-truth or interrupted truths are created and recreated. The former, has had a critical social impact, such as the events that occurred in the United States elections in 2017 and 2020; as well as the storming of the capitol by followers of former President Donald Trump in an attempt to reverse the last vote results. This analysis is an exploratory study carried out from the documentary and literary review of the issue from a qualitative approach to identify dimensions and concepts associated with this phenomenon, which will be approached from the General Theory of Information.
